Carl Saunders
Stan Kenton alumnus Carl Saunders, one of the most sought after trumpet
players in the LA recording studios.
This is Carl's debut big band CD and it is destined to be a classic. Backed
up by the top players in the business, including Bobby Shew, Frank Szabo, Ron
Stout, Bob Summers and Scott Engelbright in the trumpet section alone. This
is an amazing album, great charts, excellent recording and just great
playing. Key arrangements by the late Herbie Phillips take Be-Bop Big Band to
new heights. This CD showcases Carl and the entire band. It ranks up there as
one of the best big band CD's I've ever heard.
