The 1961 Stan Kenton Mellophonium Band interprets an appealing collection of
of tunes during stops in Ohio, and California. Of special interest are three
charts previously unreleased by any Kenton Band, and two never issued by the
Mellophonium Orchestra. Featuring arrangements by, Lennie Niehaus, Stan
Kenton, Sam Donahue, Ernie Bernhardt, Bill Holman, and Ray Starling.
Includes great photos in the liner notes.

conducted by STAN KENTON. An electrifying reading of very demanding
